Pet Health Parasites & Diseases
Zoonotic diseases are diseases that can be transferred from animals to humans. They are caused by some parasites like roundworms and hookworms. Children are especially susceptible. With a little prevention, however, Zoonotic diseases can be avoided.
Roundworms are parasites that can rob your dog or cat of nutrients and may damage lungs and the liver. Hookworms may cause blood loss and inflammation, which can lead to anemia, weakness and malnutrition. These worms, which occupy the intestines of infected pets can be dangerous to puppies and kittens.
Not only can these parasites be damaging toward your pet, they can be transmitted to people, too.
"Preventing internal parasites in dogs is not just about preventing internal parasites in dogs."
