Pet Health Flea & Tick Control

"My dog has tapeworms but he doesn't have fleas!"

The intermediate host of the Common Tapeworm is the flea or chewing louse.  Dogs and cats become victims to Tapeworms when an infected flea is ingested.  Development of the Common Tapeworm into adults can be rapid, so the benefits of anthelmintic therapy are particularly short-lived unless fleas and biting lice also are brought under control.

For regular control of fleas and chewing lice, as well as ticks, we recommend and carry the following products:

  • Frontline Spray & Topical
  • Revolution (for cats)
  • Ectokyl (shampoo)
  • Ecktokyl IGR (insect growth regulator) - sprays and foggers.
  • Capstar

If your pet has a persistant flea problem, try the following suggestions:

  • Apply Frontline every three weeks
  • Give Capstar once a week until fleas go away
  • Use Fleabusters
  • Treat home
  • Apply to all animals in and ouside of house

Don't Forget: Treat your home and yard. Fleas love dark, sandy, damp areas- i.e. under houses, couches, pillows, base boards.
