Animal Health Clinic in the community
in the community Our community has changed dramatically over the last 16 years since the Animal Health Clinic has been a part of it. Located on the outskirts of the city, the Clinic has been enveloped by businesses and residences over the years as Covington's borders have grown. Together we have survived Hurricane Katrina, and we have gone on to make many improvements at the Clinic since.
Some of our friends in the community include Alley Cat Allies, Pets and People as Partners, Paws, and the Feral Cat Consortium. The Animal Health Clinic also treats some of the animals, ranging from peacocks to felines, at the St. Joseph Abbey. Every year we have a great time participating in the Mardi Paws Parade; this parade is used to generate money for different needy organizations in the area. We have also been involved with the St. Tammany Humane Society's annual fund raisers.
Our clinic is proud to be a sponsor of the St. Peters Party at the Pavilion. St. Peters school holds a fund raiser each year that helps pay for some of their expenses.
This year we have also started a relationship with STARC (St. Tammany Association of Retarded Citizens) and have recently employed a member of STARC that has become a great asset to our family.
The Animal Health Clinic and Mary's House are proud to be of service in our community and look forward to many more years of service to come.
